Just randomly came across this, on Threads:

That’s actually Nietzsche who opened my eyes about why I found this very wrong. I call this the « coward mentality ».
Coward mentality. If someone did bad things to you :
- Check rationally if it was really bad, or just hurt your feelings
- If 1., think that this person will get rewarded in continuing his/her behavior if you « move on »
- If the person is rewarded, do you think he/she will stop doing this?
It’s not just about you. It’s about our society.
Teach that it’s not ok. Do it with good in mind, not just « ego revenge ». Don’t burn out for the revenge, just do your best, it will happen only if you don’t give up.
Reading me? I won’t give up. But my heart is always open for forgiving. But the later the higher the price.
